My name is Luke and I am currently working hard to be a professional comic writer (or writer in general (or I just don’t want to be broke and writing is something I truly love (that people make money from)))(as opposed to being a web-techie person). Right now I am working on my first full length graphic novel script for a story called Prison Spaceship and I am looking for an artist for the project. It should run somewhere around 60 pages (Black and White) and the plan will be to Kickstart printing or to just do a small line of promo versions and sell digital copies. Right now I have a few editors assisting me with the direction of the story and if you talk to me on IM (and I am always up to chat AIM: Koltreg) I’ve talked about the project.
For those who don’t know:
Prison Spaceship is about a girl getting abducted by a spaceship and her reaction when the ship and all of the other aliens break loose. It is sort of a coming of age story but with aliens, robots and killer space fungus. Or it is like Con Air meets Mass Effect with some Jurassic Park and Judy Blume.
I’m looking for an artist who would be interested in taking on the comic as a project. I’m trying to break into the medium, I have experience writing comics that are generally well regarded (I was named as one of Wizard’s 5 Comic Writers To Look Out For In Five Year (or something like that) for my comic Socialfist) and I need an artist to help me to get the project done (and if you want to be internet friends too, that would be neat. I’d rather make a new friend than another collaborator).
